Job Description

The Opportunity:


Our client, a global leader in Auto Parts manufacturing, is looking for a Maintenance Manager to join their team. In this role you will be reporting to senior leadership, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation and upkeep of their facilities. Your responsibilities will include leading a team to maintain equipment availability and reliability, while also optimizing maintenance expenses with a focus on continuous enhancement. These endeavors are aimed at supporting ongoing production requirements and adapting to evolving technology and energy needs in alignment with sustainability objectives, all while catering to customer demands in a dynamic market.


What You'll Be Doing:


  • Ensuring the safety and effectiveness of equipment and personnel within your jurisdiction.
  • Implementing and overseeing the maintenance strategy, analyzing outcomes, and enacting improvements as needed.
  • Leading a diverse maintenance team to ensure equipment reliability, particularly addressing issues of obsolescence.
  • Supporting process reliability through the implementation and adherence to maintenance plans.
  • Contributing to strategic maintenance planning initiatives.
  • Providing maintenance guidance and collaboration to project leaders across various project scales, from internal endeavors to expansion projects.
  • Managing the maintenance budget, including expenditures on labor, materials, and services.



What You'll Need To Be Successful:


  • Technical education such as a college diploma, bachelor's, or graduate degree, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 10 years in maintenance management roles, specifically overseeing technical professionals (engineers, technicians, technologists, etc.).
  • Demonstrated experience in leading interdisciplinary teams within manufacturing or similar settings.
  • Background in mentorship or employee development.
  • Proven track record in effective maintenance resource planning, with budgetary oversight.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and resolve conflicts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, including fostering positive relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated with the capability to set and accomplish goals independently.
  • Proven aptitude in teamwork, leadership, and planning.
